One man was shot Monday afternoon in the area of Monaco Elementary School in Adams County, the Adams County Sheriff’s Office said.

The shooting took place after 1 p.m., and spokesman Paul Gregory said little information is available for release, including the exact location of the shooting. The 911 call came in as a person who was shot, he said.

Deputies responded to two scenes, one of which was a house where the person shot was taken and another where a vehicle was located, Gregory said. It’s unclear who owns the vehicle.

Gregory said detectives were conducting interviews Monday afternoon as they investigate what occurred.

The man who suffered a gunshot wound was transported to a hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries, according to the sheriff’s office.

No shooting suspects are in custody at this time, Gregory said.
