H&M’s 12th store in Denver-metro coming to Denver Premium Outlets

Swedish retailer planning a fall opening

Fast fashion retailer H&M said Tuesday that it will open a new location at the Denver Premium Outlets in Thornton, giving it an even dozen stores in metro Denver and Boulder.

The 21,000-square-foot store is expected to open its doors in the fall near the Columbia, Loft Outlet and American Eagle Outfitters stores. It will have the usual collections for ladies, men and teens, as well as a separate “store within a store” section for accessories and an H&M Kids section with clothes for newborns to 14-year-olds.

The Swedish retailer, formally called Hennes and Mauritz Inc., opened its flagship Colorado store in November 2011 at the Denver Pavilions and has steadily added locations ever since. In October 2015 H&M made Denver Pavilions one of its first U.S. locations for a homes good collection in space once occupied by NikeTown.

The Thornton store is expected to employ 20 people. Jobs will be posted at the . H&M has 552 locations across the United States, which ranks as one of the retailer’s most successful markets. Beyond metro Denver, H&M also has stores in Colorado Springs as Fort Collins.
