A man who died while in an altercation with Weld County deputies over the weekend has been identified.
Isaias Rodriguez, 33, died at about 1:50 a.m. Saturday in the 4700 block of Everglade Court, according to authorities.
Deputies, responding to a call for service on an “unwanted” person encountered Rodriguez and “a physical altercation ensued,” according to a 19th Judicial District Critical Incident Response Team news release.
During the altercation Rodriguez “stopped breathing,” the release said. Deputies performed CPR until medical personnel arrived. Rodriguez died at the scene.
The coroner’s office will release the manner and cause of death in the incident after completion of a forensic investigation. An investigation by the critical incident team is ongoing.
