The last of three Aurora men involved in multiple armed attacks against women in the Denver suburbs two years ago received a lengthy prison sentence for his role Tuesday.

Geoffrey Warren Johnson, 27, was sentenced to 45 years in prison after pleading guilty in September to three counts of aggravated robbery, according to a news release from the 18th Judicial District Attorney’s Office.

He is the third man to be sentenced for robbing and assaulting women in Littleton, Highlands Ranch and Parker on three occasions in February 2017. Deaundre McWilliams, 21, and Xavier Masse, 21, were sentenced at earlier dates.

District Attorney George Brauchler said in a statement that this case was a prime example of increasing violence in the metro area.

“These three threatened, terrorized and left the victims feeling vulnerable and afraid,” Brauchler said in a statement.

The first of three incidents occurred on Feb. 21, 2017, at a car wash in Littleton. At 11 p.m., a 51-year-old woman was cleaning her car when Masse and Johnson approached with guns drawn, authorities said.

One of them told the woman, “You just got jacked,” and put the muzzle of a handgun into the woman’s mouth, demanding she get on the ground, according to the DA’s office. The two then stole various items from the car, including her phone, before fleeing.

The other two incidents occurred the next day. A 41-year-old woman was pulling into her driveway in Highlands Ranch after midnight when Masse and Johnson appeared on either side of her car with guns in hand, authorities said. The woman gave the assailants her car keys, purse, phone and wallet. One of them then hit the woman in the head with a handgun.

Later that day, a 39-year-old woman was walking to her front door in Parker around midnight when Masse and Johnson approached her on her porch, and ripped her purse off her shoulder, the DA’s office said. One of them fired two shots at her as they fled the house, the release said.

Masse and McWilliams were arrested on Feb. 23, 2017, following a high-speed chase, while Johnson was arrested in August 2017.

McWilliams was sentenced in December 2017 to a 15-year suspended sentence after pleading guilty to one count each of aggravated robbery, conspiracy to commit aggravated robbery and vehicular eluding.

A jury in December 2018 found Masse guilty on charges of attempted second-degree murder; three counts of aggravated robbery; conspiracy to commit aggravated robbery; three counts of menacing; theft and obstruction of a police officer. He was sentenced to 37 years in prison.
