A 19-year-old man was arrested Friday after bringing a knife into a Fort Collins high school.
Fort Collins police said in a news release that Jonathen Snelling walked into Rocky Mountain High School about 9:20 a.m. and asked to visit a student. A school worker told him to leave the property, police said.
Later that afternoon, police said Snelling returned to the school. A staff member noticed Snelling was “acting erratically and pacing … and had a knife on his belt.”
The school went on lockdown, and the school resource officer arrested Snelling outside the school on charges of unlawfully carrying a weapon on school grounds, violation of bail conditions, and second-degree trespassing.
