Jefferson County middle school assistant principal accused of providing alcohol to underage boy

An assistant principal at a Jeffco Public Schools middle school has been arrested on suspicion of providing an alcoholic beverage to an underage boy, police said.

Michael Pate, 38, was arrested at his Littleton home on Friday morning, according to police.

Pate is an assistant principal at Carmody Middle School, 2050 S. Kipling St., Lakewood, and is a past assistant director at Outdoor Labs, according to Littleton police.

Police did not say whether the minor involved is a student at the school.

Pate faces a charge of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, a Class 4 felony, according to police. An investigation is ongoing.
