Maybe the least sexy and most disturbing of all love affairs in major league sports picks up again next month when the Colorado Rockies restart their season-long coupling with Taco Bell.

The way it works: When the Rockies score seven or more runs in a game, their devotees go to a Taco Bell around Denver the next day and order exactly four regular hard-shell tacos for $2. No substitutions, so just beef, cheese and lettuce, which sounds like the worst date ever.

For some sideline entertainment, check out the . From the Rockies come phrases like “I’ve got your tacos right here” and “We’re coming for you! (insert taco emoji).” Taco Bell responds with a subliminal “#tacoemojiengine” video. And without warning, the TV channel flashes “WE GET TACOS!” across people’s home screens.
