A shooting early Sunday morning in Denver’s Capitol Hill neighborhood left one man injured, according to Denver police.

The agency said on Twitter that a shooting occurred at 12:52 a.m. in the 900 block of 10th Avenue.

Denver Police spokesman Kurt Barnes said several people called to report the shooting, but when police arrived, the victim and any suspects were not at the scene.

The victim had left to a local hospital on his own, Barnes said.

The investigation is ongoing, and police do not yet have a suspect in custody.
