Denver’s dogs have it “ruff” compared to their fellow canines in Seattle and Chicago, according to an analysis by a dog-walking company.

Denver ranked third in Rover’s list of dog-friendly cities . The pet-care app compiled data including how far dog walkers were taking their charges, how many dog sitters were available in each town, the number of homes listed for sale that were considered dog friendly and how walkable each city is to determine the rankings.

The company analyzed the results for more than 14,000 communities and found Seattle was the most dog-friendly city and Chicago was the second. Denver is the only city in the Rocky Mountains in the top 20 rankings.

Denver’s top dog breed is the Labrador retriever, according to the analysis.

Interestingly, neither Seattle nor Chicago ranked in the top eight most dog-friendly cities when Rover . The company did, however, include Denver.
