CHEYENNE, Wyo. — A toddler missing from southern Wyoming was found safe in Aurora on Thursday night, as was the man who is suspected of abducting the child.

Cheyenne police said 26-year-old Mijito Johnson was thought to have taken 1-year-old Gregory Marks from a location in the northern part of the city Thursday afternoon. Johnson is the boy’s non-custodial father.

An Amber Alert was issued, and police were on the lookout for a 2004 silver Ford Expedition with a temporary plate and a broken rear passenger side window.

Aurora police said Thursday night that they received a tip that the vehicle was seen at the Aurora Mall. Officers found Johnson, who has been booked, and the child, who was taken into protective custody.
