Both directions of Interstate 70 have been reopened between Airpark Road and the Kansas border after authorities shut the highway down last night because of blizzard conditions.

The National Weather Service issued a blizzard warning for the northeastern plains until noon Thursday.

Roads are snow packed and icy and wind gusts up to 65 mph are possible. At times there will be zero visibility on the roads.

Between 1 and 3 inches of new snow is possible on the northeastern plains, the NWS says.
