The Nuggets toppled the Timberwolves in spectacular fashion on Wednesday to earn the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference.

With Denver set to take on the Spurs on Saturday, we took a look at how the Nuggets would fare in the playoffs in our NBA 2K19 simulation. Here are the results:

Round 1

  • Game 1: Nuggets 116, Spurs 96 — Nikola Jokic was simply dominant, tallying 34 points, 23 rebounds, 10 assists and four blocks in Denver’s win.
  • Game 2: Nuggets 115, Spurs 95 — Jokic recorded another triple-double (15 points, 16 rebounds and 10 assists) and Jamal Murray added 20 points.
  • Game 3: Spurs 96, Nuggets 92 — San Antonio gets on the board behind DeMar DeRozan’s 26 points.
  • Game 4: Nuggets 106, Spurs 95 — Denver had a varied offensive attack led by Jokic (22 points), Gary Harris (18) and Paul Millsap (18).
  • Game 5: Nuggets 118, Spurs 82 — Jokic led Denver’s blowout win with 29 points and 15 rebounds.

Western Conference: Golden State d. Los Angeles Clippers, 4-0; Houston d. Utah, 4-1; Portland d. Oklahoma City, 4-0.

Eastern Conference: Milwaukee d. Detroit, 4-2; Indiana d. Boston, 4-1; Philadelphia d. Brooklyn, 4-1; Toronto d. Orlando, 4-3.

Round 2

  • Game 1: Nuggets 127, Trail Blazers 109 — Denver overcame Damian Lillard’s 47 points as Murray led the way with 27 points. Jokic had his third triple-double of the playoffs (19 points, 15 rebounds, 15 assists).
  • Game 2: Nuggets 92, Trail Blazers 79 — Denver had a well-balanced attack as five players scored in double-digits, led by Murray (16).
  • Game 3: Nuggets 106, Trail Blazers 83 — Jokic had another monster game, scoring 34 points and grabbing 15 rebounds.
  • Game 4: Nuggets 101, Trail Blazers 100 — Portland dragged it to the buzzer, but Denver came out on top to sweep the series, led by Jokic’s 23 points, 16 rebounds and nine assists.

Western Conference: Golden State d. Houston, 4-2.

Eastern Conference: Indiana d. Milwaukee, 4-1; Philadelphia d. Toronto, 4-1.

Round 3

  • Game 1: Nuggets 105, Warriors 93 — Denver took one in Oakland as Jokic scored 32 points and Murray added 22 points and nine assists.
  • Game 2: Nuggets 113, Warriors 107 — Another monster game for “Big Honey,” as he tallied 29 points, 15 rebounds and seven assists.
  • Game 3: Warriors 99, Nuggets 98 — Despite Jokic’s 30 points and 18 rebounds, Denver could not overcome Stephen Curry’s mammoth effort — 40 points, 10 rebounds and 12 assists.
  • Game 4: Warriors 108, Nuggets 84 — Another big game from Curry (41 points and 10 rebounds) lifted Golden State and tied the series.
  • Game 5: Nuggets 140, Warriors 110 — Denver’s offense was simply explosive. Jokic led the way with 37 points, nine rebounds and 12 assists. Millsap added 25 points and eight rebounds, and Murray had 20 points.
  • Game 6: Nuggets 90, Warriors 76 — Both offenses struggled in Game 6, but Jokic’s 20 points and 19 rebounds carried Denver to the first home win in the series and a ticket to the Nuggets’ first appearance in the NBA Finals.

Eastern Conference: Philadelphia d. Indiana, 4-1.

NBA Finals

  • Game 1: 76ers 103, Nuggets 88 — Jokic had 24 points and 16 rebounds, but it wasn’t enough as Philadelphia stole the first game on the road.
  • Game 2: Nuggets 108, 76ers 101 — Jokic had his fourth triple-double (20 points, 16 rebounds, 10 assists) of the playoffs and Millsap added 25 points and nine rebounds in the win.
  • Game 3: 76ers 126, Nuggets 100 — J.J. Redick had 23 points and Boban Marjanovic added 22 points to carry Philadelphia. Will Barton had 26 points for Denver.
  • Game 4: 76ers 112, Nuggets 91 — Redick had another big night (23 points, four rebounds, four assists) to give Philadelphia a strong 3-1 series lead.
  • Game 5: Nuggets 113, 76ers 85 — Behind 25 points and 16 rebounds from Jokic, Denver gets a big win at home to avoid elimination.
  • Game 6: Nuggets 112, 76ers 111 — Sheer guts. Murray and Millsap each scored 20 to force a Game 7 back in Denver. Joel Embiid had 25 points and 10 rebounds, and Redick added 22 for Philly.
  • Game 7: Nuggets 107, 76ers 95 — Jokic (who else?) led the way for Denver with 21 points and 13 rebounds to give the Nuggets the win and their first-ever NBA championship.

MVP: Jokic. The Nuggets center averaged 16.6 points, 12.7 rebounds and 6.3 assists in the Finals. Over the playoffs, he tallied 22.8 points, 14.8 rebounds and 7.0 assists.
