Many skiers and snowboarders attempting to buy Epic Passes before a midnight deadline were stymied in their efforts because of computer glitches, a spokesperson for Vail Resorts confirmed this morning.
“Starting at 10 p.m. last night, some of our guests experienced technical difficulties when trying to purchase their passes on our site,” said Johnna Muscente, director of communications for Vail Resorts, in an email to the Denver Post.
Vail Resorts said the issue was resolved just before noon on Monday. The company extended the deadline to purchase the passes to Friday.
Vail Resorts had announced a deadline of midnight to lock in Epic Passes at the lowest prices for a $49 down payment. Included in that deal was 16 discounted tickets for family and friends.
