At a moment when Denver is ranked No. 2 on a “Best Place to Live” list for the entire U.S., Castle Rock’s star is rising even faster than Denver’s — hugely popular for its scenic environs and recreation-oriented attractions.

That works doubly well for buyers ready to cash in their older homes for a single-level home thatap easier to maintain, something KB Home can arrange for you right away at master-planned Terrain.

At Terrain, KB Home has two paired-patio models on view that offer ranch living and less to maintain, along with master-planned trails and amenities at a very reasonable price. And KB Home could have you moved into that lifestyle right away, at only $400,000 — “all in,” as the builders say.

“Itap a chance at an easier lifestyle with more time to enjoy the Colorado attractions that matter most to them,” says Randy Carpenter, Colorado Division president of KB Home. He adds that for many buyers at Terrain, that includes being close to kids and grandkids, who have already moved to Castle Rock.

Price is very important to that buyer, many of whom say they have put a hard-stop in the low $400,000s, according to sales reps who meet with them.

At Terrain, they tour a Mural three-bedroom ranch, with just short of 1,800 square feet of finished space, plus a two-car attached garage, and an option for a fourth bedroom and added entertaining space in an optional basement.

A few doors up from the models, you’ll see a similar Compass patio ranch thatap coming ready for June move-in at Terrain, with almost 1,700 square feet that includes a second master suite with attached bath. Itap without the basement option, and right now itap attractively priced at $400,000.

You’ll find other homes near-ready with other options — or you can pick a site in Terrain and have one of these patio ranches done to your liking using KB Home’s “Built-to-Order” flexible approach, including choosing to include a basement and or finishing it out now for added recreation space and another guest bedroom.

Either way, you’ll get Terrain’s amenities including an attractive pool club, trails, parks and tennis courts, and receive snow removal from driveway and front walk, all for an HOA dues of around $94 a month.

Additional savings can be figured in from KB Home’s 100%-certified Energy Star performance (in the Ambience model you’ll tour, monthly energy costs are estimated at around $104, compared to $166 for an average, comparably sized resale home).

Meanwhile, KB Home has no age restriction at Terrain, meaning that not just downsizers, but other buyers wanting low maintenance, are looking at these, too. Terrain is a half mile east of Founders Parkway on Colorado 86.

The news and editorial staffs of The Denver Post had no role in this postap preparation.
