This year was the 72nd annual Easter sunrise service at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, sponsored each year by the Colorado Council of Churches on Sunday. This year’s service was presided over by Adrian Miller, CCC executive director and member of the African Methodist Episcopal Church.
The morning prayer and offertory were given by presiding elder Anthony C. Hill of Christian Methodist Episcopal Church and the sermon was given by Rev. Quirino Cornejo. The blessing and sending forth were given by Rev. Amy Mendez. Cornejo is Pastor of the Iglesia Luterana Cristo Rey congregation in West Denver and Vicar of Intercession of the Episcopal Church in Thornton.
