Lord Stanley’s Cup was in the Mile High City on Thursday.
One would think on Day 1 of the NFL draft here in Denver, folks would be excited about the Broncos’ 10th pick in the first round.
It isn’t often the Broncos take a back seat in this sports town on a big football day, but when the Stanley Cup makes a media tour around town, excitement about the Avalanche and the Stanley Cup Playoffs take over — at least momentarily.
Twitter was flooded with photos from media staffers across town who were able to get their photo taken with one of the most iconic trophies in all of sports.
Take a few minutes and scroll through some of the best shots of the day.
