Two men found dead on Monday inside a Western Slope home have been identified.

The bodies of Richard Garcia Jr., 30, of Grand Junction, and Stephen Summers, 47, of Clifton, were home early Monday morning in Clifton, according to a Mesa County Coroner’s Office news release.

Garcia died of multiple gunshot wounds to the head and torso and the manner of his death is a homicide, the coroner’s office said. Summers died of shotgun wound to the head. His manner of death has been ruled a suicide.

Toxicology reports for both men are pending. An investigation by the the sheriff’s office is ongoing.
