MacKinnon showed his eye-hand coordination as he batted the puck out of midair. Avs rookie Cale Makar and Mikko Rantanen were awarded assists on the play.
There is a reason Calgary Flames captain Mark Giordano said MacKinnon could be “one of the best.”
Colin Wilson made it 2-0 for the Avs in the third period after scoring on a slick pass from Rantanen.
