
A pair of Colorado’s own will represent the U.S. at the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup this summer.
Forward Mallory Pugh and midfielder Lindsey Horan were named to the 23-player national team roster on Wednesday. It will be the first World Cup for either player.
Pugh, 21, starred at Mountain Vista High School and currently plays for Washington Spirit. In 50 appearances with the national team, she has tallied 15 goals.
Horan, 24, went to Golden High School and currently plays for Fortland Thorns FC. She has eight goals in 66 appearances with the national team.
The World Cup takes place from June 7-July 7 in France.

Goalkeepers: Andrianna Franch, Ashlyn Harris and Alyssa Naeher.
Defenders: Abby Dahlkemper, Tierna Davidson, Crystal Dunn, Ali Kriger, Kelley O’Hara, Becky Sauerbrunn and Emily Sonnett.
Midfielder: Morgan Brian, Julie Ertz, Lindsey Horan, Rose Lavelle, Allie Long and Samantha Mewis.
Forwards: Tobin Heath, Carli Lloyd, Jessica McDonald, Alex Morgan, Christen Press, Mallory Pugh and Megan Rapinoe.
