El Paso County Sheriff Bill Elder, left, hugs Rachael Flick during this year's Colorado Law Enforcement Memorial ceremony at the Colorado State Patrol Academy in Golden on Friday, May 3, 2019. Rachael's husband, El Paso County sheriff's Detective Micah Flick, was killed in the line of duty in 2018. His name will be added to the memorial, along with the names of three other deceased members of law enforcement. Also added to the memorial are: Adams County sheriff's Deputy Heath Gumm, who was shot to death in 2018, Las Animas County sheriff's Sgt. Matthew Moreno, who was killed in 2018 in a car crash, and Littleton police officer Kevin Denner, who was killed in 2013 by a drunk driver.
