In this episode of the On The Rox podcast, Denver Post beat writers Patrick Saunders and Kyle Newman assess whether right-hander Jeff Hoffman is ready to seize the fifth spot in a Colorado rotation that has disappointed through the first quarter-plus of the season.
Hoffman is expected to be called up from Triple-A Albuquerque to start Friday’s game against the Orioles at Coors Field. He’s made one start for Colorado this year, allowing four earned runs in five innings against the Nationals at home on April 23.
