One seriously injured in Thornton shooting, police arrest suspect

Police say there is no ongoing threat to the community

Thornton police have arrested a man after he allegedly shot a male late Tuesday night, authorities say.

The condition of the victim on Wednesday was not immediately available. The name of the suspect has not been released.

Police were called to a home at 9595 N. Pecos St. after 911 calls about shots fired, according to a news release.

The shooting victim was taken to a hospital. Police arrested the suspect.

According to authorities say there is no lingering threat to the community as a result of this shooting.
