Thornton police have arrested a suspect in connection with the reckless shooting at a Circle K of a woman who was hospitalized Sunday night, Thornton police said.
The names of the woman and the suspect have not been released. The victim is expected to survive her injuries, according to a Monday tweet.
Police have arrested a 19-year-old person for investigation of second-degree assault and tampering with evidence, the tweet said.
UPDATE – Ref. shooting – 12780 Colorado Blvd. The investigation determined the incident involved a reckless/negligent discharge of a firearm. The victim is expected to survive her injuries. 19 year old arrested for investigation of 2nd Degree Assault & Tampering with Evidence.

The shooting happened at 12780 Colorado Blvd., according to a 6:59 p.m. Thornton police tweet.
At the time, police detained three people and said there was no threat to the public.
