A search for a 74-year-old boater ended Tuesday when a neighbor spotted his body under the water at Harvey Park Lake, according to Denver police.
A person called the Denver Fire Department Tuesday morning after seeing a body that likely was Gordon Clyde Ham, Jay Casillas, Denver police spokesman, said.
Firefighters recovered the body around 9 a.m., near the 4600 block of West Evans Avenue, Casillas said.
Ham was reported missing Sunday afternoon after his empty boat drifted to shore of Harvey Park Lake. He had been on the water with his dog, police said.
Divers had been searching for Ham for since Sunday.
Police are conducting a death investigation although foul play is not suspected, Casillas said.
The Denver Office of the Medical Examiner will determine the man’s cause of death.
UPDATE: Mr. Ham has been located deceased in the area of the 4600 block of W Evans. This is an on-going death investigation and the coroner will provide the cause of death.
