Tracking the Rockies’ picks on the second day of the 2019 MLB draft

After selecting three players on the first day of the draft, the Rockies’ 2019 MLB draft continues Tuesday with Rounds 3-10. Follow along to track Colorado’s selections on the second day:

Round 3, No. 100 overall — Jacob Wallace, RHP, Connecticut. The 6-foot-1 junior had a 0.69 ERA with 16 saves in 39⅓ innings this year and was the co-recipient of the Cape Cod League top prospect award in 2018.

Round 4, No. 129 overall — Brenton Doyle, OF, Shepherd University. The 6-foot-3 junior was the Mountain East Conference player of the year as he batted .392 with 13 homers while also flashing speed on the bases.

Round 5, No. 159 overall — Will Ethridge, RHP, Ole Miss. The 6-foot-5 junior posted a 2.91 ERA in 15 starts, and showed what his high potential could be as a freshman via All-America honors by Collegiate Baseball.

Round 6, No. 189 overall — Gavin Hollowell, RHP, St. John’s. A 6-foot-7 junior who was a top prep recruit out of the state of New Jersey, he posted a 4.23 ERA with nine saves in 38⅓ innings of relief this season.

Round 7, No. 219 overall — Jared Horn, RHP, California. The 6-foot-4 junior posted a 1.82 ERA in 69⅓ innings, while his 56 strikeouts to 18 walks shows command and he allowed only five homers on the year.

Round 8, No. 249 overall — Jacob Kostyshock, RHP, Arkansas. Kostyshock had a 0.84 ERA in 10-plus innings for the Razorbacks and was a highly-rated recruit out of Francis Howell High School in Missouri.

Round 9, No. 279 overall — Isaac Collins, 2B, Creighton. The switch-hitter batted .293 with six homers from the leadoff spot and earned All-Big East first team honors after tearing up the Cape Cod League in 2018.

Round 10, No. 309 overall — Jack Yalowitz, CF, Illinois. Yalowitz averaged .295 at the dish this year while earning All-Big Ten third team honors and was ranked the No. 29 college senior in the nation by Perfect Game.
