Jefferson County deputies are searching for a 15-year-old boy, who is already facing gun charges, after he allegedly stole guns from a relative’s safe in Pine Wednesday night.

Kaiden Martin, who was recently released from the Mount View Youth Services Center with an ankle monitor, disabled the security system of a home on the 13000 block of South Cedar Circle between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. Wednesday, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities believe he broke into a secured gun safe and stole multiple guns, a suppressor, and ammunition.

Martin is 6-feet tall, weighs about 130 pounds and has brown eyes and hair, the release said.

He was released from Mount View Youth Services Center on May 21 with an ankle monitor issued by Juvenile Pre-trial Services.

The monitor does not have GPS capabilities, but is designed to alert the Juvenile Assessment Center if he goes out of a specified perimeter.

He was at the detention facility because he’s been accused of stealing a handgun, the news release said. He was charged with burglary, theft, and a juvenile in possession of a handgun.

Anyone who sees Martin or knows of his whereabouts, or has information regarding last nightap theft is asked to call 911 or Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at (720) 913-7867.

Martin should not be approached as he may be armed, the news release said.
