Police ask for information in attempted Lakewood kidnapping

The Lakewood Police Department is asking the public for information about a suspect who attempted to abduct two boys in May.

According to the police, two 11-year-old boys were sitting outside on apartment complex on Pierce Street on the evening of May 15 when two men in a white van pulled up. One suspect was driving and another was in the back. The man in the back of the car slid the van door open and attempted to grab the boys, who hit him with a water bottle and ran away.

The suspects are described as looking like twins in their late 20s, Hispanic and with dark curly hair. The car was described as a white van with tinted windows and bars on the insides of the windows and the back of the van. The van had scratches on the side and a sliding door.
