Back in 2003, Steve Kerr created what he believed was “” in a column for Yahoo! Sports. This week, The New York Times revisited the topic with the Warriors coach.
Kerr told the Times that the “roboshooter” he created back then would have some updates in the modern game, — like his star point guard Stephen Curry. He looked to a Nuggets guard when asked about today’s best shooters.
“Jamal Murray is on his way to becoming one of those guys,” Kerr said. “He shoots it, catch-and-shoot, or off the dribble, like Steph.”
The 22-year-old Denver star averaged a career high 18.2 points this season, hitting 152 3-points on 36.7 percent shooting from beyond the arc.
