The Rocky Mountain National Park Service has announced that Trail Ridge Road has reopened.

The road was closed over the weekend due to snowfall in the mountains, and was kept closed on Monday due to difficulties snowplows had clearing it. The road had up to five-foot snowdrifts this weekend, and temperatures overnight were in the 20s.

Typically, the road, which is the highest continuous paved road in the U.S., opens on Memorial Day weekend. But late season snow has caused it to open and close multiple times in June.
