Firefighters called to a house fire in Littleton on Friday afternoon arrived to find two home in flames with fires burning on the roofs.
South Metro Firefighters are battling 2 homes on fire at Peakview Ave and Peakview Cir in No injuries reported, 2 Engines over the 1st Alarm responding. Cause unknown at this point, updates to follow.

A report of the fire was called in at 3:02 p.m. and firefighters were dispatched to 1004 W. Peakview Ave., said Eric Hurst, a South Metro Fire Rescue spokesman.
Fire was burning on the roofs of two single-family homes, Hurst said. Firefighers fought the blazes from inside and outside the two homes and were able to extinguish both fires. There was no injures.
A pet, a cat, is unaccounted for and a search is underway.
The fire was fueled by hot weather and firefighters were taking precautions against battling fire in the heat, Hurst said.
“It’s a very hot day, we’re making sure our firefighters are staying hydrated,” Hurst said.
The temperature in Littleton at 4 p.m. was 94 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. There were no thunderstorms in the area on Friday afternoon.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
