Man shot dead in Denver’s Clayton neighborhood identified; police ask for public’s help

A 58-year-old man who was shot and killed in Denver’s Clayton neighborhood early Tuesday has been identified, and police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect.

Jerrick “JJ” Johnson was fatally shot about 2:30 a.m. in an alley of the 3600 block between Cook and Madison streets, according to police. The shooting was just north of the City of Nairobi Park.

Anyone with information on the shooting, or on a suspect, is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867 (STOP).
