Traffic along a busy stretch of South Parker Road was being delayed Wednesday evening by emergency repairs after a section or roadway buckled in the heat, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.
Denver Metro Travel Alert: Expect delays on SB CO 83 (Parker Rd.) and E. Broncos Parkway due to emergency repairs, requiring a double lane closure. High heat caused part of the pavement to buckle. CDOT crews are making repairs. No estimated time of when the lanes will re-open.

Southbound lanes of Parker Road at East Broncos Parkway were undergoing emergency repairs, CDOT said.
Two lanes have been closed along the busy stretch, and there was no estimated time of reopening. Drivers should avoid the area if possible.
