The Brighton Police Department is investigating a shooting in the area of Sandpiper Lane and Bromley Lane, in the Platte River Ranch neighborhood.
Authorities have not released any details about the number or condition of any victims.
The surrounding area has been sealed off by police during the investigation. KMGH-TV journalists responding to the shooting reported on Twitter that they could hear gunshots and officers were working with guns drawn.
Police are asking any witnesses to contact them.
