A driver accused of shooting another driver in Westminster has been arrested in the road rage incident, police said.

On Monday, police responded to the 10700 block of Sheridan Boulevard on a report of a shooting, according to a news release. The driver who was shot suffered injuries that are not life-threatening and was treated at a local hospital and released.

Auston Michael Smith, 23, was arrested on suspicion of first-degree assault, police said on Tuesday.

An investigation is ongoing.
