Classic car auction in Denver made over $10 million in sales

358 cars were sold; 1957 Thunderbird brought top bid

Over 350 vehicles were sold at the July 2019 Mecum auction in Denver, for a sales total of $10.2 million.

Held at the Colorado Convention Center on July 12-13, the auction brought hundreds of classic cars to Denver. The Mecum Auction Company is the world leader of vintage car and motorcycle sales, and has auctions in cities across the country.

The top-selling car at the Denver auction was a 1957 Ford Thunderbird that sold for $181,500. A 1970 Plymouth Superbird sold for $165,000, and a 2016 Jaguar F Type Project 7 came in third place at $143,000. Other top-selling cars included a Chevrolet Corvette convertible, a Plymouth Superbird and a Ferrari Testarossa.
