The Colorado State men’s basketball team released its upcoming non-conference schedule Thursday, with a November visit to Duke the highlight of the 13-game slate.
The Rams will face the Blue Devils at Cameron Indoor Arena on Tuesday, Nov. 5, for the team’s second trip to the famed venue in Durham, N.C.
That game is the headliner of a schedule that will include at least 13 games against teams invited to the postseason in 2018-19. Among those is the Rams’ opening game against New Mexico State at the Cayman Islands Classic, set for Thanksgiving weekend Nov. 25-27. Other potential matchups in the tournament field include Loyola Chicago, South Florida, , Nebraska, Old Dominion and George Mason.
The Rams will also host the Rocky Mountain Showdown against rival CU on Friday, Dec. 13.
The schedule is subject to change based upon what games are selected by the Mountain West’s national television partners. Some games could be shifted from Wednesday to Tuesday or Saturday to Sunday by CBS Sports Network or ESPN. Those selections will be made during the next few weeks. Regional providers will make their picks after the national TV lineup has been announced.
The Rams are coming off a 12-20 season that saw them go 7-11 in MWC play in head coach Niko Medved’s first season.
