Soul singer Al Green and NFL wide receiver A.J. Green are just two of the many people with that verdant last name entitled to a free flight on Frontier Airlines on Tuesday as the carrier wraps up its “Green Week” advertising campaign.

The Denver-based budget airline announced a number of promotions last week around its “green” business practices. They included running “America’s Greenest Flight” from Denver to Greenville, N.C. using one of the airline’s Airbus A320neos, a plane Frontier contends is among the most fuel-efficient in the world.

Now Frontier is promising to reimburse anyone with the last name Green or Greene for a one-way or non-stop roundtrip ticket within the United States. The flight has to depart before midnight Tuesday and the return flight has to come back before midnight on Aug. 20 to be eligible. The maximum refund is $400. Refunds will be distributed no later than Sept. 15., per Frontier.

Air travel is a major contributor to greenhouse gas pollution. Frontier, on its website, advertises that its fleet is 39 percent more fuel-efficient than the average major U.S. airline. Business practices Frontier says have contributed to better efficiency include charging for carry-on bags, a practice it says can lead to lighter planes depending on passenger choices.
