Smashburger is celebrating its anniversary with 12-cent burgers

With the purchase of a regularly priced burger, of course

Smashburger has a birthday soon, but the popular burger franchise isn’t asking for any gifts.

Instead, on Friday, Aug. 16, itap celebrating its 12th year in business by offering a 12-cent double Smashburger with the purchase of a regularly priced double Smashburger.

Smashburger is named for its signature technique of smashing a fresh ball of beef on a hot grill. It first opened in Denver in August 2007 and has since grown to more than 370 locations in 38 states and nine countries.

The chain’s menu also includes fries, chicken sandwiches, black bean burgers, salads and hand-spun shakes made with Haagen-Dazs ice cream.
