House Speaker Nancy Pelosi will stop in Broomfield next week for a discussion on health care.

The California Democrat will sit down with U.S. Rep. Joe Neguse, D-Lafayette, and Colorado Insurance Commissioner Michael Conway for a public two-hour policy discussion Wednesday afternoon. A location for the event, which will be ticketed, has not yet been announced.

A news release for the 1:30 p.m. talk says the trio “will discuss policy solutions to build on the success of the Affordable Care Act and ensure high quality affordable health care” for all.

“It is a pleasure to join Congressman Joe Neguse in his community for this critical conversation about protecting the right of every Coloradoan and American to quality, affordable health care,” Pelosi said in a statement Friday.

Neguse, who was first elected in November, in meetings with House leadership, including Pelosi. Last week, he announced a fellow freshman, liberal firebrand Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, will speak in Boulder on Sept. 21.

“I’m honored to host Speaker Pelosi in Colorado for a vitally important and relevant conversation on affordable health care,” Neguse said in a statement Friday.
