Denver police are investigating a fatal shooting in the Whittier neighborhood where a man was taken to the hospital for treatment but later died of his injuries.
The shooting happened near the intersection of East 28th Avenue and North High Street, according to a 2:07 a.m. Denver police tweet.
The man was taken to a hospital and later pronounced dead, the tweet said. The name and age of the victim have not been released.
UPDATE: Adut male victim of 28th/High shooting has been pronounced deceased at the hospital. Incident being investigated as a homicide. We ask anyone with info on this homicide/suspect to call 720-913-7867; tips can be shared anonymously.
