A 19-year-old man has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder after deliberation in the stabbing deaths of two men in a Lakewood park.
Vicente Enrique Orozco, who faces 17 criminal counts, also has been charged with attempted first-degree murder and aggravated robbery, according to the Jefferson County district attorney’s office.

Early Aug. 15, police were called to Belmar Park on a report of a stabbing. Ivan Rivera, 19, was stabbed multiple times. He was taken to a hospital and died a few days later, according to a news release.
About 7 a.m. on Aug. 15, police were called to another stabbing in Belmar Park, where the body of 61-year-old Stevan Sandvick was found. It was unclear what time Sandvick had been stabbed.
Orozco was arrested Aug. 21. He is being held in the Jefferson County jail without bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Sept. 27. Orozco faces 11 violent crime counts.
