The Denver Broncos may have lost on “Monday Night Football” to the Oakland Raiders, but in the end they are the true winners.
With the Raiders moving to Las Vegas in 2020, the Broncos will not have to play another regular-season game in the “Black Hole” at the Oakland Coliseum.
The other main reason the Bronx are winners is they will not have to play another football game on a converted baseball field like the one currently being shared by the Raiders and Athletics.
The Oakland A’s can have the beautiful, sweet-smelling, well-kept and much-loved multi-purpose stadium where the bathrooms never flood all to themselves.
Yes, the Bronx may have lost in Week 1, but the pros of never going back to Oakland or having to run around the bases on the infield on a bubble screen is a bonus players are sure to love.
As we say farewell to the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum, we should remember the good ol’ days of John Elway throwing bombs across the infield to Ed McCaffrey and Rod Smith.
Good riddance to the Coliseum!
