Denver police are investigating the death of a man Friday evening in the City Park West neighborhood as a homicide.
Denver police tweeted Friday that a man had been shot near the intersection of East 21st Avenue and York Street and was taken to a hospital. Later the department said the victim had died and that his death was being investigated by the homicide unit.
The location of the shooting is on the west edge of City Park.
Update: the adult male was pronounced deceased and the investigation is being conducted by the homicide unit.
