Weldon Valley couldn’t quite keep up with a strong Deer Trail squad, losing by a score of 68-8.
Kolter Eldringhoff led Deer Trail’s aerial attack with 144 yards through the air. Eldringhoff’s most prolific receiver in the contest was Brett Stoumbaugh, who caught four passes for 112 yards and one score. Dayne Woodis contributed in the passing game as well, grabbing four balls for 71 yards and two touchdowns.
Walker Morelock paced all Deer Trail rushers with 187 yards and three touchdowns in the contest, averaging 14.4 yards per carry.
Weldon Valley will stay home and play Fleming, while Deer Trail will travel to play Genoa-Hugo.
