Genoa-Hugo couldn’t quite keep up with a strong Otis squad, losing by a score of 48-19.
Colby Simmons powered Genoa-Hugo’s passing attack with 196 yards through the air, throwing three touchdowns and one interception. Simmons also added 62 yards on the ground. Wyatt Miller was also Genoa-Hugo’s leading receiver on the day.
Miller lead all Genoa-Hugo rushers with 101 yards in the contest, averaging 8.4 yards per carry. Miller also tacked on 170 receiving yards.
Both teams will stay at home in their next contest, with Otis hosting Flagler/Hi-Plains and Genoa-Hugo taking on Deer Trail.
