Deer Trail earned a win when they defeated Genoa-Hugo 54-46 on Thursday, Sept. 19.

Kolter Eldringhoff led Deer Trail’s passing attack with 179 yards through the air. Eldringhoff also added 64 yards on the ground. Dayne Woodis was also Deer Trail’s leading receiver on the day. Aldo Dominguez got involved in the passing game as well, reeling in five balls for 53 yards and one touchdown.

Walker Morelock spearheaded the Deer Trail rushing attack by finishing with 212 yards and four touchdowns in the contest, averaging 7.1 yards per carry. Woodis added 74 yards and two touchdowns on the ground, averaging 24.7 yards per carry, as well as 101 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Colby Simmons led Genoa-Hugo’s aerial attack with 132 yards through the air. Simmons also added 91 yards and three touchdowns on the ground. Kyler Rowden-Stum lead all Genoa-Hugo receivers with two receptions for 47 yards.

Wyatt Miller lead the Genoa-Hugo rushing attack by accumulating 98 yards and one touchdown in the game, averaging 10.9 yards per carry. Miller also tacked on 39 receiving yards.

Next up for each team, Deer Trail will play host to Edison, while Genoa-Hugo will travel to play Hanover.
