Basalt earned a win when they beat Pagosa Springs 39-19.

Basalt quarterback Matty Gillis led the passing attack with 140 yards through the air, tossing two touchdowns without an interception. Gillis also added 36 yards and one touchdown on the ground. Basalt’s leading receiver was Jackson Rappaport, who caught six passes for 98 yards and two scores.

Cole Dombrowski spearheaded the Basalt rushing attack by running for 130 yards in the contest, averaging 6.2 yards per carry. Gavin Webb added 54 yards and one touchdown on the ground, averaging 6 yards per carry.

Basalt will play host to Paonia, while Pagosa Springs will travel to play Moffat County.
