Manzanola couldn’t quite keep up with a strong Branson/Kim squad, losing by a score of 61-19 on Friday, Sept. 20.
Branson/Kim’s ground attack was spearheaded by Finn Warner who accrued 231 yards and three touchdowns in the contest, averaging 8.9 yards per carry. Teagan Keeler added 154 yards and four touchdowns on the ground, averaging 11 yards per carry.
In addition to Axel Escareno’s effort, Dalton Carroll lead the Manzanola ground game by finishing with 63 yards and one touchdown in the contest, averaging 7 yards per carry. Carroll also tacked on 46 receiving yards.
Both teams will go on the road in their next contest, with Branson/Kim heading to play La Veta and Manzanola taking on Primero.
