Montezuma-Cortez couldn’t quite keep up with a potent Delta squad, losing by a score of 58-0 on Friday, Sept. 20.
Nolan Bynum led Delta’s aerial attack with 146 yards through the air, throwing three touchdowns with no interceptions. Delta’s leading receiver was Hunter Hughes, who caught one pass for 36 yards and one score.
Nathan Scharnhorst paced all Delta rushers with 48 yards and one touchdown in the game, averaging 48 yards per carry.
Next up for each team, Delta will play host to Bennett, while Montezuma-Cortez will travel to play Zuni.
