Denver East earned a win when they beat Boulder 28-14 on Friday, Sept. 20.
Dylan Wigglesworth led Denver East’s passing attack with 266 yards through the air, tossing two touchdowns and two interceptions. Aaron Franklin was also Denver East’s leading receiver on the day. Jay Barry got involved in the passing game as well, catching five passes for 71 yards.
Franklin paced the Denver East ground attack by running for 53 yards and one touchdown in the contest, averaging 10.6 yards per carry. Franklin also tacked on 99 receiving yards and one touchdown.
Hale Chargois led Boulder’s passing attack with 270 yards through the air, tossing two touchdowns and three interception. Chargois’ favorite target in the contest was Wiley Bennett, who caught three passes for 107 yards and one score.
Parker Patchett spearheaded the Boulder ground game by finishing with 72 yards in the game, averaging 6 yards per carry. Patchett also tacked on 52 receiving yards and one touchdown.
In their next games, Denver East will play host to Mountain Range, while Boulder will travel to play Westminster.
